Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily cycle counts of products in designated warehouse locations to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory counts and system records.
- Perform adjustments in the inventory management system as authorized and necessary.
- Assist with the receiving and stocking of incoming merchandise, ensuring proper product placement and tagging.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, order fulfillment teams, and management to resolve inventory-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies within the warehouse environment.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse layout.
- Support periodic physical inventories and other special projects as assigned.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (with proper certification).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in counting and data entry.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) or willingness to be trained and certified.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an inventory management system (IMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
- Prior experience in the food distribution industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
