Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Carpenter with a strong focus on woodwork and furniture to join our dynamic team in Brentry, Bristol. This pivotal role involves executing a wide range of carpentry tasks, from crafting bespoke furniture pieces to performing detailed joinery work for both residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute projects based on technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components to create bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and joinery.
- Install custom-built items, including kitchens, wardrobes, doors, windows, and decorative elements.
- Select and prepare appropriate timber and other materials for each project.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform detailed finishing work, including sanding, planing, and preparing surfaces for staining or painting.
- Conduct repairs and restorations on existing wooden structures and furniture.
- Ensure all work adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a focus on woodwork and furniture.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of carpentry tools and machinery.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques and wood properties.
- Excellent measurement, cutting, and assembly skills.
- High level of attention to detail and precision craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical stamina and dexterity for demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience with various types of timber, veneers, and composite materials.
