As a Sales Consultant specializing in Product Promotions, you will be the face of various brands and products within our bustling store, responsible for actively engaging shoppers, demonstrating product features and benefits, and ultimately driving sales through persuasive communication and excellent customer service. Your primary goal will be to connect customers with the right products, answer their queries, and create a memorable in-store experience that leads to increased product visibility and sales conversions.
This role is heavily commission-based, offering a competitive base salary alongside uncapped earning potential linked directly to your sales performance. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a natural ability to build rapport with diverse customer segments. You will work closely with our store management and marketing teams to implement promotional strategies, gather customer feedback, and contribute to our overall sales objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage customers on the sales floor to promote specific products and new arrivals.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Provide accurate product information and answer customer questions effectively.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat purchases and loyalty.
- Monitor product stock levels and ensure promotional displays are well-maintained and attractive.
- Gather customer feedback on products and promotions, relaying insights to management.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Participate in sales training and product knowledge sessions to stay updated on offerings.
- Collaborate with the store team to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail environment (minimum 1 year).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong ability to persuade and influence customer purchasing decisions.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Excellent product demonstration and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Basic computer literacy for sales reporting and data entry.

- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in promoting Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or electronics.
- Knowledge of local market trends and consumer behavior in Ajao Estate and surrounding areas.
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) in addition to English.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
