In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of plumbing tasks, from diagnosing complex faults and performing intricate repairs to executing seamless new installations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot plumbing issues in residential and commercial properties.
- Execute effective repairs of leaks, blockages, burst pipes, and other plumbing system malfunctions.
- Install, maintain, and repair hot and cold water systems, including cylinders, tanks, and pipework.
- Carry out new plumbing installations for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and provide preventative advice to clients.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing layouts and installations.
- Manage and organise materials and equipment required for each job.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, explaining work undertaken and providing accurate estimates.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a qualified Plumber.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in both repair and installation work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (desirable, but not essential for this specific plumbing role).
- Experience with smart home plumbing technologies.
- Additional certifications in specific plumbing areas (e.g., unvented hot water systems).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role with a strong service focus.
