Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
  • Perform general site clean-up and maintenance, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing materials.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, grinders).
  • Prepare work areas by clearing obstacles, digging trenches, or setting up safety barriers.
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment, reporting shortages or defects to supervisors.
  • Support concrete pouring and finishing activities, including mixing, spreading, and vibrating concrete.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the site foreman or supervisor to ensure project completion.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
