Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, and applications.
- Perform routine system health checks, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system operation and reliability.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve technical issues reported by clients or internal monitoring systems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implement and manage system configurations, updates, and patches to maintain security posture and system stability.
- Collaborate with project teams on new deployments, system upgrades, and migrations, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Document technical procedures, solutions, and incident reports accurately and comprehensively for knowledge management.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required to address critical incidents and ensure business continuity.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and tools to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor junior technical staff and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives within the team.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support or technical engineering roles.
- Proficiency in administering Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and team interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and learn on the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Prior experience in a managed services provider (MSP) or systems integrator environment.
