Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company delivery vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and UPS safety standards.
- Efficiently load, unload, and deliver a variety of packages to residential and commercial customers along designated routes.
- Verify package contents against manifests, obtain customer signatures, and manage delivery exceptions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance checks using handheld devices and other company technology.
- Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet scheduled delivery times.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and fellow team members.
- Adhere to strict timelines and service standards for all deliveries and pickups.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds without assistance.
- Excellent spatial awareness and navigation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with handheld delivery devices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.

- Previous experience in a delivery, transportation, or logistics role.
- Knowledge of the Quaker Hill and greater Wilmington, DE area.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles.
