Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to specified quality standards.
  • Perform various laboratory tests (e.g., chemical, physical, microbiological) accurately and consistently, documenting all results meticulously.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and other process parameters to maintain product integrity and safety throughout the production cycle.
  • Identify, investigate, and report any non-conformance issues, recommending corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all quality control activities, including test results, equipment calibrations, and audit findings.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and company quality policies.
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and specifications.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary data and support.
  • Collaborate effectively with production, operations, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
  • Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and operating QC equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Certifications in HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, or ISO standards.
  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for quality management.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
