As an Entry-Level Payroll Officer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic payroll team, responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of employee salaries and benefits. You will work closely with experienced professionals who will mentor and guide you through various aspects of payroll administration, including data entry, reconciliation, statutory reporting, and employee query resolution. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll for a designated group of employees, including salary, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
  • Support the preparation and submission of statutory declarations to relevant authorities (e.g., ZUS, Tax Office) in accordance with Polish regulations.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data, ensuring all information is correct and complete.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or personal data.
  • Respond to and resolve basic employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex issues to senior colleagues.
  • Support the calculation and processing of various allowances, reimbursements, and other payroll-related payments.
  • Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the payroll function.
  • Undertake ad-hoc payroll-related tasks and projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
  • Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Polish labor law, social security, and tax regulations related to payroll.
  • Previous internship or academic project experience related to finance or HR administration.
  • Familiarity with any payroll software (e.g., SAP, Symfonia, Comarch ERP Optima) is a plus.
