Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and investigation into assigned topics and breaking news.
- Develop original story ideas, pitches, and angles that align with editorial objectives.
- Interview sources, witnesses, and experts with professionalism and precision.
- Write clear, concise, accurate, and engaging news reports, features, and analyses for print and digital platforms.
- Adhere strictly to journalistic ethics, company guidelines, and legal standards regarding libel and slander.
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with editors, photographers, videographers, and other team members.
- Participate in editorial meetings, contributing insights and ideas for daily coverage.
- Utilize social media and other digital tools for news gathering, promotion, and audience engagement.
- Attend press conferences, public events, and conduct field reporting as required.
- Fact-check all information diligently to ensure veracity before publication.
- Develop and maintain a network of credible sources.
Required Skills
