This role demands a proactive approach to sales, involving daily visits to existing and prospective customers, product presentations, order negotiation, and merchandising. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within an assigned territory in Port Harcourt, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing and potential retail customers, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess product visibility, shelf space, and stock levels, implementing effective merchandising strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand PepsiCo's market penetration and customer base.
- Present new products and promotions effectively to customers, ensuring full understanding and uptake.
- Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing, and consumer trends.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns and achieve brand objectives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, analyzing performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in FMCG sales, particularly in beverages or food products.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive selling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within Port Harcourt.
