Hôtel Palm Beach Isiro is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Worker for General Repairs to join our esteemed team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of hotel premises and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Execute general repairs and maintenance tasks across various disciplines including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic HVAC systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing issues efficiently and courteously.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including faucets, toilets, showers, and drainage systems.
- Address minor electrical issues such as light fixture replacement, outlet repairs, and basic wiring checks.
- Undertake carpentry tasks including door and window repairs, furniture assembly and repair, and minor structural fixes.
- Perform painting, plastering, and touch-up work to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the hotel.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on various hotel systems and equipment to prolong their lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and storage areas.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Assist with groundskeeping tasks as needed, including minor landscaping or outdoor equipment maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar general repair role.
- Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various conditions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in French (oral and written).
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
