Saro Agrosciences Ltd is seeking an experienced Agro Dealer – Farm Input Distributor & Marketing Specialist to join our vibrant team in Port Harcourt. This pivotal role involves actively driving the sales and distribution of our extensive range of farm inputs within the assigned territory, primarily NTA Road and its environs. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies for farm inputs within the designated territory (NTA Road, Port Harcourt and surrounding areas).
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with farmers, farming cooperatives, agro-dealers, and agricultural retailers.
  • Manage existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations to farmers, demonstrating the benefits and proper application of Saro Agrosciences products.
  • Organize and conduct field demonstrations, farmer training sessions, and promotional events to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights for product development and marketing adjustments.
  • Ensure timely and efficient distribution of farm inputs, managing inventory levels and logistics effectively.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, market analysis, and forecasts, presenting findings to management.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Saro Agrosciences products, agricultural innovations, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in agricultural sales, marketing, or farm input distribution.
  • Strong understanding of crop cycles, farming practices, and agricultural challenges in Nigeria.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive for results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with farming communities in Rivers State or the Niger Delta region.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and strategies for agricultural products.
  • Knowledge of local languages prevalent in Port Harcourt and surrounding areas.
