Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision.
- Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support bank account and general ledger reconciliations.
- Learn and apply internal control procedures and banking regulations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Participate in internal and external audit preparations.
- Develop proficiency in the bank's accounting software and systems.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
- Continuously seek to learn and understand new accounting principles and banking practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (recently graduated or awaiting results).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
