Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision.
  • Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support bank account and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Learn and apply internal control procedures and banking regulations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in internal and external audit preparations.
  • Develop proficiency in the bank's accounting software and systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Continuously seek to learn and understand new accounting principles and banking practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (recently graduated or awaiting results).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.
