Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Eagle Island, Port Harcourt. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of products from our production facilities to our distribution channels and ultimately to our cherished customers. The Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain efficiency, reducing operational costs, and maintaining the high standards of product availability that Coca-Cola is known for.

In this role, you will manage various aspects of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control. You will be instrumental in planning and executing the daily movement of goods, coordinating with internal departments such as sales, production, and procurement, as well as external partners including transporters and suppliers. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, route optimization, and delivery tracking for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage inventory levels at various warehousing points, ensuring accurate stock records and timely replenishment to prevent stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate closely with production, sales, and procurement teams to align logistics activities with business objectives and market demand.
  • Engage with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), transporters, and suppliers to negotiate terms, monitor service levels, and resolve any operational issues.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies, minimizing risks and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Utilize logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS) to process orders, track shipments, generate reports, and analyze performance data for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the logistics process without compromising service quality or delivery timelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive logistics reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CILT, APICS).
  • Proven experience with route optimization software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian logistics landscape and transportation regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes quickly.
  • Experience in cross-functional project management.
