Forward Air Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Remote Business Analyst to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, working remotely to support our diverse operational and strategic projects across North America. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business unit leaders, to understand complex requirements, analyze current processes, and recommend innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance within our dynamic logistics environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements from various stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional specifications for development teams.
  • Conduct thorough process analysis, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions for process improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA testers, and business users throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, use cases, user stories, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support for system deployments and post-implementation reviews.
  • Support change management activities and provide training or communication materials to end-users as needed.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in creating process maps, user stories, use cases, and other BA deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and reporting platforms.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or ITIL.
  • Experience working with remote teams and distributed stakeholders.
