Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and complete financial audits in accordance with established auditing standards (e.g., ISA, GAAS) and internal methodologies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Identify control weaknesses, accounting irregularities, and non-compliance issues.
  • Prepare detailed audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations for clients.
  • Communicate audit progress, findings, and issues effectively to clients and senior management.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing robust financial policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Supervise junior audit staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
  • Conduct special assignments, forensic audits, or investigations as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in financial auditing, risk assessment, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Caseware, AuditWare) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professional skepticism.
