Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and complete financial audits in accordance with established auditing standards (e.g., ISA, GAAS) and internal methodologies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management procedures.
- Identify control weaknesses, accounting irregularities, and non-compliance issues.
- Prepare detailed audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations for clients.
- Communicate audit progress, findings, and issues effectively to clients and senior management.
- Assist clients in developing and implementing robust financial policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Supervise junior audit staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
- Conduct special assignments, forensic audits, or investigations as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial auditing, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Caseware, AuditWare) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professional skepticism.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
