Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Coca-Cola products within the designated territory, including Marine Base and its surrounding areas.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and penetrate new outlets across Port Harcourt.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards in all trade channels, following company guidelines.
- Identify new business opportunities, convert leads, and onboard new customers to grow the distribution network effectively.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, gather market intelligence, and identify consumer trends and preferences.
- Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and activity plans in a timely manner using designated sales tools.
- Manage customer accounts, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure compliance with trade agreements and credit policies.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery and successful promotional execution.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product launches as required to enhance sales capabilities and product knowledge.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Proven work experience (minimum 2 years) as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth consistently.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, customer service processes, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive with a clean record.
- Residency in or around Port Harcourt with an in-depth knowledge of the local market and trade channels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Previous experience working specifically with beverage brands or in a highly competitive FMCG environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to speak local languages relevant to the Port Harcourt market (e.g., Ikwerre, Kalabari, Pidgin English).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
