As a Tax Consultant at DSG, you will be at the forefront of delivering expert guidance, helping businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of the tax system. Your expertise will cover the full spectrum of taxation, including preparing and reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, advising on VAT implications for various transactions, and assisting high-net-worth individuals with their personal income tax planning and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert tax advice to a diverse client portfolio, including individuals, SMEs, and corporate entities, across various sectors.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax computations and returns (Corporate Tax, Income Tax, VAT).
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimise liabilities and maximise efficiencies, aligning with their business and personal objectives.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to provide accurate and up-to-date advice on complex tax issues.
- Represent clients in dealings with HMRC, managing enquiries and disputes effectively.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and development of the tax practice.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Stay abreast of changes in UK tax legislation and interpret their implications for clients and the firm.
- Assist with the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements and statutory accounts.
Required Skills
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ATT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in a tax-focused role within a public practice firm.
- Demonstrable expertise in UK Corporate Tax, Income Tax (including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax), and VAT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax matters clearly.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Alphatax, CCH, Digita) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality client service.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and their interaction with tax legislation.

- Experience with international tax considerations and cross-border transactions.
