Job Description

Cresta Lodge Gaborone is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Front Office Agent to join our dynamic team for an immediate start. This pivotal role is the face of our hotel, providing the first and last impression for our valued guests. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out, handling inquiries, and managing reservations with efficiency and a warm smile. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-ins and check-outs according to established procedures.
  • Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy and attention to detail, utilising the hotel's property management system.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Process payments, manage cash float, and accurately balance daily transactions.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Assist with incoming calls and direct them appropriately, serving as a central communication point.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage) to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, safety guidelines, and security procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Previous experience (1+ year) as a Front Office Agent or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a hotel setting
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio)
  • Proficiency in an additional local language (e.g., Setswana)
  • Proven track record of maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction
