Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload construction materials, including bricks, stones, and related products, manually and using appropriate equipment.
  • Transport materials to designated areas within the facility, staging zones, or onto delivery vehicles.
  • Verify material quantities against order forms and delivery manifests, ensuring accuracy.
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and pathways.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as counting, sorting, and tagging materials.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
  • Potentially assist with general yard maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic communication skills (written and verbal in English).
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid G Class Driver's License in Ontario with a clean driving record (for potential operation of company vehicles).
