Job Description

Are you a physically fit and energetic individual looking to play a critical role in a dynamic supply chain environment? Nigerian Breweries Plc is seeking dedicated Offloaders to join our Port Harcourt distribution team. As an Offloader, you will be an essential part of our logistics and delivery operations, responsible for the efficient and safe handling of our diverse range of products. Your primary duties will involve the manual unloading of goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring that products are meticulously counted, inspected for damage, and moved to designated storage areas within our warehouse or distribution center. This role is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding, as you directly contribute to the seamless flow of products from our breweries to our valued customers across the region. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and other team members, operating in a fast-paced environment where precision and teamwork are paramount. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and safely unload products from incoming delivery vehicles, including trucks and containers.
  • Verify product quantities against delivery notes and report any discrepancies immediately.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, recording and reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Manually move and stack products in designated warehouse locations or prepare them for onward transfer.
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate effectively with drivers, warehouse assistants, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support inventory management processes by assisting with stock counts and reconciliation when required.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely, if trained and authorized.
  • Perform other logistics and warehouse support duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail for verifying quantities and inspecting goods.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read delivery notes and count products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or offloading role.
