Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers and tailors with various stages of garment production, from conceptualization to finishing.
- Learn and practice fundamental tailoring techniques including cutting, stitching, hemming, and basic alterations.
- Prepare fabrics for cutting, ensuring accuracy and minimal waste.
- Organize and maintain the design studio and tailoring workspace, including inventory of materials and tools.
- Support in pattern making and adjustment under supervision.
- Assist with fittings, take accurate notes, and communicate adjustments to the tailoring team.
- Conduct quality checks on finished garments to ensure adherence to design specifications and brand standards.
- Research fashion trends, fabric innovations, and design concepts to inspire new collections.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to continuously enhance design and tailoring skills.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the design and production team.
