Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Cooks and Chefs with daily food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepped according to recipes, safety standards, and efficiency requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station throughout the shift, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Support the cooking team during service by retrieving ingredients, stocking stations, and managing basic cooking processes as directed.
  • Properly store and rotate food supplies, assisting with inventory management and reducing waste.
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment.
  • Perform general kitchen duties such as cleaning floors, taking out trash, and maintaining equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dish preparation.
  • Adhere strictly to all food handling and hygiene procedures (HACCP principles).
  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries of food and supplies.
