Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns for assigned brands, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify consumer insights, market trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for brand growth.
- Manage the full lifecycle of marketing projects, from conceptualization and budget management to execution, monitoring, and post-campaign analysis.
- Collaborate with advertising agencies, media partners, and internal creative teams to develop compelling marketing collateral and communications.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, utilizing data and analytics to optimize strategies and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with the sales team to develop trade marketing initiatives and ensure effective product promotion and distribution across various channels.
- Oversee brand budget allocation, ensuring efficient spending and maximum return on investment (ROI).
- Identify and evaluate new product development opportunities, contributing to innovation pipelines based on consumer needs and market gaps.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging marketing technologies to continuously enhance strategies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in marketing roles within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian consumer market and competitive landscape.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing or an MBA.
- Experience with P&L management for a brand or product category.
- Demonstrated experience in new product development and launch processes.
- Fluency in additional local Nigerian languages relevant to the Port Harcourt region.
- Experience working with international or global brands within a local context.
