Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times, ensuring bartenders have immediate access to all necessary items.
- Replenish ice, spirits, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies as needed throughout shifts.
- Wash and polish glassware, ensuring a constant supply of clean glasses for service.
- Assist bartenders with general bar setup and breakdown procedures at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Pre-cut and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes according to established standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins from the bar area regularly and ensure proper waste management.
- Monitor inventory levels of key bar items and communicate low stock items to bartenders or management.
- Assist in receiving and organizing liquor, beer, and wine deliveries, verifying contents and ensuring proper storage.
- Perform general cleaning duties of the bar, including wiping down counters, cleaning spills, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining floor cleanliness.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including Smart Serve practices, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
- Support the bar team in any other tasks required to ensure efficient bar operations and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy cases (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively and calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent teamwork and clear communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to anticipate needs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of bar terminology and operations (training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting (even entry-level support roles are valued).
- Valid Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire for legal alcohol service support).
- Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
