Advance Auto Parts in Naugatuck, Connecticut, is seeking a dedicated On-site Driver Helper to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of automotive parts from our local store to our valued customers, including professional repair shops and individual consumers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with the efficient and safe loading and unloading of automotive parts onto and off delivery vehicles.
- Verify the accuracy of parts against delivery manifests and invoices to prevent errors.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse and delivery staging area.
- Safely transport parts to designated customer locations under the direct supervision and guidance of the driver.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Advance Auto Parts professionally and courteously.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, traffic laws, and operational procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including stocking shelves, picking orders, and organizing inventory.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers, store management, and customers regarding delivery status and any discrepancies.
- Handle and store parts carefully to prevent damage, ensuring product integrity.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and deliveries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
