MTN Nigeria is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our vibrant team in Old GRA, Port Harcourt. This role is crucial for expanding our corporate client base and driving sales growth in the region. As a Corporate/Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets for MTN’s range of enterprise solutions, including voice, data, IoT, cloud services, and more. You will be expected to conduct market research, generate leads, prepare compelling presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals with corporate clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new corporate clients within the assigned territory (Old GRA, Port Harcourt and environs).
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key corporate decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Present, promote, and sell MTN's enterprise products and services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales proposals and contract documents.
  • Provide excellent after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor competitive activities and industry trends, providing market intelligence to management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role, preferably in the telecom or IT sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience selling telecommunication solutions to corporate clients.
  • A valid Nigerian driver's license and ability to travel extensively within Port Harcourt and nearby areas.
  • Knowledge of the local business community and key industry players in Rivers State.
  • Certifications in sales methodologies or customer relationship management.
