Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing HR-related reports, and managing internal and external correspondence.
  • Assist proactively with the full recruitment lifecycle, which includes drafting and posting compelling job advertisements, meticulously screening resumes, coordinating and scheduling interviews, and facilitating pre-employment checks.
  • Facilitate and enhance the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a seamless, welcoming, and informative experience from day one, including preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records and HR databases (e.g., SAP HR, Workday), ensuring data integrity and strict adherence to privacy policies.
  • Support HR Business Partners in various employee relations activities, initiatives, and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including managing logistics, facilitating registration, and tracking attendance and program effectiveness.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information, such as accurate attendance records, leave requests, new hire details, and termination data.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR personnel as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local labor laws, industry regulations, and Nestlé's internal policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in various HR projects and initiatives aimed at continually improving HR processes, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Prepare essential HR-related documents, such as employment letters, termination letters, performance review forms, and confirmation letters.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive and relevant experience in an HR administrative or coordination role, preferably within a large multinational organization or the FMCG sector.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and a solid understanding of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for data analysis, presentation, and communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and professionally.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, effectively collaborate, and communicate across diverse teams and levels of the organization.
  • A proactive problem-solving orientation and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, aPHRi) is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) software, such as SAP HR or Workday.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Previous experience working in a multinational company setting with diverse cultural contexts.
  • A strong understanding of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry and its unique HR challenges.
