Job Description

Uplight is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Remote Business Analyst to join our Corporate Strategy team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of our company by providing critical insights and support for key strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for executive leadership through presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to align strategic initiatives with operational execution.
  • Support the annual strategic planning process, including goal setting, performance tracking, and roadmap development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic projects, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, build consensus, and drive project progress.
  • Identify and analyze potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnership opportunities to support inorganic growth strategies.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy consulting, or corporate development.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis.
  • Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the energy, utility, or clean tech industries.
