Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate all on-site construction activities from inception to completion.
- Ensure strict adherence to project plans, specifications, blueprints, and building codes.
- Manage and motivate a team of skilled workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
- Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with project standards.
- Oversee the efficient use of materials, equipment, and labor resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure seamless project flow.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of all on-site activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings regularly.
- Identify potential project delays or complications and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting skill development and career growth within the team.
- Ensure all work is completed within the allocated budget and schedule.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in construction supervision or foreman roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce strict safety standards and regulations.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Competency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in a construction-related trade.
