Job Description

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) is seeking dedicated and energetic Factory Workers to join our industrial and production operations in Omagwa, Port Harcourt. In this vital role, you will contribute directly to the efficient manufacturing and bottling of our beloved beverage brands, ensuring products meet the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct routine quality checks on products at various stages of the production line to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Load raw materials into machinery and assist with the packaging and stacking of finished products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the production area, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting of minor equipment issues as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor to support overall factory operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity; ability to lift and move heavy objects (within safety guidelines).
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) working in a manufacturing, factory, or industrial setting.
  • Basic technical or mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or similar quality control standards.
  • Completion of secondary education (SSCE/WAEC) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience operating production machinery.
