Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely load and unload cargo, parcels, and freight from trucks, aircraft, and designated storage areas.
- Accurately sort and organize cargo within the warehouse, ensuring correct placement based on destination, type, and specific handling instructions.
- Operate various manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts if certified) to move heavy or bulky items.
- Perform daily routine pre-operation and post-operation checks on all assigned equipment and promptly report any malfunctions, damages, or safety concerns.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and aviation security regulations, including the proper application of lifting techniques and mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the thorough preparation of outbound cargo for shipment, which includes precise wrapping, accurate labeling, and secure strapping or netting.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the warehouse and surrounding operational zones.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with team members, supervisors, and personnel from other departments to ensure seamless operational flow and effective communication.
- Diligent identify and immediately report any instances of damaged, lost, or suspicious cargo to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, cargo verification processes, and documentation updates as required by operational demands.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis.
- Demonstrated strong physical stamina, endurance, and agility required for sustained physical activity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong capacity to accurately follow complex verbal and written instructions.
- Fundamental numeracy and literacy skills essential for basic documentation and cargo identification.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior professional experience (e.g., 6 months or more) in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or airport cargo handling environment.
- Valid certification in operating material handling equipment, such as a forklift or powered pallet jack, is a significant advantage.
- Basic familiarity with aviation cargo handling procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
