GraceKennedy Limited is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Seaforth, Morant Bay. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods within our warehouse and dispatch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely delivery of products to our valued customers and distribution points. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin in ensuring our supply chain operates seamlessly. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods, including receiving, storage, and dispatch from the warehouse.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for dispatch vehicles to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and manifests.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, suppliers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
  • Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and operational flow.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address specific order requirements and delivery instructions.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Valid General Driver's License (Asset)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with cold chain logistics or perishable goods distribution
  • Familiarity with Jamaican transportation regulations and geographical knowledge of St. Thomas parish and surrounding areas
