Job Description
Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated and experienced On-site Security Supervisor to lead our security team at a prominent retail mall located in the vibrant Stapleton area of Denver, CO. This crucial role involves overseeing daily security operations, ensuring the safety and security of patrons, tenants, and property, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. You will be responsible for supervising a team of security officers, coordinating responses to incidents, conducting regular patrols, and enforcing mall policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in security management, preferably within a retail or public access environment. This position requires a proactive approach to security challenges, the ability to make sound decisions under pressure, and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in the mall. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of security officers, ensuring adherence to company policies and site-specific procedures.
- Oversee daily security operations, including patrol assignments, access control, alarm response, and emergency procedures.
- Respond effectively to all security and safety incidents, including medical emergencies, theft, disturbances, and lost persons, completing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring a safe environment for shoppers and staff.
- Act as a liaison between mall management, law enforcement, and other emergency services during critical incidents.
- Develop and implement security post orders, emergency plans, and training programs for security personnel.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with mall management, tenants, and the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal security regulations and laws.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Valid Colorado security guard license (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in security technology, including CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and incident reporting software.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience supervising security in a retail, mall, or large public venue setting.
- Advanced certifications such as ASP (Associate Security Professional) or CPP (Certified Protection Professional).
- Familiarity with local law enforcement protocols in Denver, CO.
