Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Efficiently manage the reservation system (e.g., OpenTable) and walk-in guest flow to optimize seating and minimize wait times.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about the restaurant, menu, and taking reservations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and waiting area.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff regarding table status and guest needs.
- Assist guests with coat check, directions, and general inquiries about LoDo and the Denver area.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with diplomacy and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Prepare and present menus, ensuring they are clean and accurate.
- Assist with light cleaning duties during downtime to maintain restaurant cleanliness standards.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
