As an On-site Care Assistant, you will be the heart of our daily operations, directly impacting the well-being and happiness of our residents. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and engaging environment for residents.
  • Support residents with mealtime assistance and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional health to the nursing team promptly.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to residents' personal living spaces to maintain cleanliness and comfort.
  • Participate in planned recreational activities and social programs, encouraging resident engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and resident observations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident calls and needs, demonstrating a caring and attentive approach.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and state regulations governing residential care.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proven ability to provide compassionate and patient care with a strong service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to a residential care setting.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents safely as needed.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
  • Previous experience (6+ months) working with seniors or in a residential care setting is highly desirable.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Experience in medication reminders or assistance.
