Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate and SME sectors through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their financial needs and offering appropriate banking solutions.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and prepare customized proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and business development goals set by the bank.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product development, credit, legal) to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, client interactions, and sales performance.
  • Actively participate in the provided training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.
  • Represent Millennium bim at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Portuguese and English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to build rapport and establish lasting client relationships.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with CRM software.
  • Knowledge of the Mozambican financial market and regulatory environment.
