In this pivotal role, you will be primarily responsible for the technical setup, testing, and deployment of our diverse email marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the setup and configuration of email campaigns using our designated Email Service Provider (ESP), ensuring all elements align with campaign objectives.
  • Conduct thorough testing of email campaigns across various email clients and devices, verifying link functionality, image rendering, personalization, and overall display accuracy.
  • Segment audience lists based on defined criteria to ensure targeted and relevant message delivery for each campaign.
  • Monitor campaign deployment and performance in real-time, identifying and troubleshooting any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with content writers, graphic designers, and marketing strategists to integrate compelling content and visuals into email templates.
  • Ensure strict adherence to email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM Act (or local equivalents), GDPR (where applicable), and internal brand guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of campaign performance reports, compiling key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates for analysis.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with at least one major Email Service Provider (e.g., Mailchimp, SendGrid, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor)
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for email templating and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Analytical mindset with an aptitude for data interpretation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies for email optimization
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop)
  • Fluency in French and/or Swahili is a significant advantage
