Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate receiving, stocking, and picking of warehouse inventory.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory counts to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to management.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records.
- Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of all materials and equipment.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory control role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and physical counts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations and measurements.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in supply chain or logistics is an asset.
- Valid forklift operator certification (reach truck, counterbalance).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Previous experience in the waste management or environmental services industry.
