Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient On-site Laundry Worker to join our dynamic Hotel Department team at Hilton Garden Inn Boulder. This crucial role ensures that our hotel always has a pristine supply of linens, towels, and uniforms, directly contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. As a Laundry Worker, you will be responsible for the meticulous handling of all laundry operations, from sorting and washing to drying, folding, and distributing. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness will be paramount in upholding our brand reputation and exceeding guest expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Sort all soiled linens, towels, and uniforms according to fabric type, color, and degree of soil before washing.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and folding equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor laundry cycles to ensure proper washing, drying, and pressing, adjusting settings as needed.
- Inspect linens for stains or damage, treating and rewashing items as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry items neatly and efficiently for storage and distribution.
- Deliver clean linens and towels to designated storage areas and housekeeping carts as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to ensure operational continuity.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards.
- Manage linen inventory and assist with stock rotation as instructed.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions and safety procedures in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), push, and pull carts of laundry.
- Reliability and punctuality; able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and their safe handling (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
