Setraco Nigeria Plc is seeking enthusiastic Construction Helpers, encompassing both general labour and skilled support roles, to join our project team in Eagle Island, Port Harcourt. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to high-quality construction projects.
As a Construction Helper, you will be an integral part of our on-site team, providing essential support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers, while also undertaking general labour tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the construction site. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, from preparing sites and handling materials to assisting with specific construction activities under supervision.
We are looking for individuals who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a readiness to follow instructions meticulously. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Perform general labour duties, including site preparation, excavation, and material handling.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including debris removal and waste disposal.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
- Assist in mixing and pouring concrete, mortar, and other construction materials.
- Transport materials between work areas and storage facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman.
