You will manage a busy reception area, handle patient scheduling with precision, maintain accurate patient records, and facilitate seamless administrative workflows that are critical to our practice’s success. Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinical time and patient convenience.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially, both electronic and paper-based.
- Process patient payments, manage billing inquiries, and handle insurance verifications.
- Prepare patient forms and consent documents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Manage the waiting area, ensuring it remains tidy and comfortable for patients.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and mail handling.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dentists, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a front office, reception, or administrative support role (preferably 1+ year).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- A professional, friendly, and empathetic demeanour.
- Discretion and a strong understanding of patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a dental practice or healthcare setting.
