Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand project objectives, functional requirements, and aesthetic preferences.
- Develop comprehensive design concepts, including mood boards, material palettes, furniture selections, and lighting plans.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings, floor plans, and technical drawings using industry-standard software for client presentations and contractor use.
- Perform meticulous space planning, ensuring optimal flow, functionality, and utilization of every area.
- Source and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, and accessories from reputable vendors.
- Prepare accurate project estimates and manage budgets effectively, ensuring projects remain within financial parameters.
- Oversee project execution, including site visits, quality control, and coordination with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
- Present design concepts to clients with confidence, articulating design rationale and incorporating feedback effectively.
- Stay abreast of current interior design trends, materials, and technologies, continuously integrating innovative solutions into projects.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and communication logs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar design software.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a range of residential or commercial interior design projects.
- Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, lighting design, and material selection.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven project management capabilities, including budgeting and timeline adherence.
