Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver customer orders to their homes, ensuring timely arrival and exceptional service.
- Verify order accuracy during loading and upon delivery, resolving any discrepancies with attention to detail.
- Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks before and after shifts.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner, representing the Tesco brand positively.
- Handle customer payments and process returns or exchanges as per company guidelines.
- Assist with in-store tasks such as picking orders or stock replenishment during quieter periods or as required.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly (up to 20kg).
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- A responsible and reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, retail, or customer-facing role.
- Good knowledge of the Milngavie and wider Glasgow area.
- Experience with handheld delivery devices or similar technology.
