Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative, technically proficient, and experienced Architect with a strong focus on building design and project drawing to join our dynamic team in Port Harcourt. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial client briefings and site analyses to the production of comprehensive architectural drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs from initial brief to detailed schematics, adhering to client requirements and project goals.
- Prepare comprehensive architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules using industry-standard software.
- Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and schedules for tender and construction phases.
- Conduct site surveys, analyses, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and ensure practical solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with inter-disciplinary engineering teams (structural, mechanical, electrical) to integrate building systems seamlessly.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and international building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Present design concepts and technical drawings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, incorporating feedback as necessary.
- Participate in project meetings, contribute to design reviews, and assist in resolving design-related issues during construction.
- Research and recommend appropriate building materials, finishes, and construction methodologies to achieve project objectives and sustainability goals.
- Mentor junior architects and technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction standards (e.g., Nigerian Building Code)
- Excellent graphic presentation and visualization skills
- Ability to develop and translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Registered Architect with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON)
- Membership with the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA)

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar
