As a Call Centre Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing support, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience with MTN. You will be instrumental in addressing customer concerns related to products, services, billing, technical support, and general information, demonstrating empathy and efficiency in every interaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify customer needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions or alternatives.
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile.
  • Keep records of all conversations in our call centre database in a comprehensible way.
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Proactively learn about MTN products, services, and policies to effectively assist customers.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments for further resolution.
  • Adhere to company guidelines and policies regarding customer interactions.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize with customers.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle difficult situations gracefully.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OND/HND/BSc in any discipline.
  • Prior experience in a customer service environment (even non-call centre roles).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
