As an HR Assistant, you will be the backbone of our HR operations, providing crucial administrative and operational support across various HR functions. You will gain invaluable experience in areas such as talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, HR data management, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment checks.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, preparing orientation materials, conducting initial HR inductions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, assisting with inquiries and enrollment processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations as required by management.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Participate in the organization of HR-related events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Act as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries, directing employees to appropriate resources or HR personnel.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information, such as leave days and attendance records.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture by supporting various employee welfare initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or assistant role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Professional membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) of Nigeria or similar HR professional body.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas or a similarly structured corporate environment.
