Key Responsibilities

  • Assist culinary team with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting ingredients, and portioning food items as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including food storage, preparation, and dishwashing stations.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, and other tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper sanitization of all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment according to hotel and health department standards.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately, adhering to environmental guidelines.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain upon hire).
