Job Description

Orkla Latvija is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Procurement Manager to join our team in Riga. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our procurement processes, from strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management to contract negotiation and cost control. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic procurement plans aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct comprehensive negotiations, and establish strong, long-term relationships.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining or improving product quality and delivery performance.
  • Monitor market conditions, raw material prices, and supplier performance to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, finance, and R&D teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
  • Implement and maintain robust procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems and procurement software for data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of procurement specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, CPM) is a significant advantage.
  • Fluency in Latvian is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with Spanish-speaking suppliers or markets, and proficiency in Spanish ('Gestor de Compras' context), is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in an international or multinational company environment.
